Envelopes are one of the first things that someone sees when getting an invitation, announcement, or holiday card, and we love making them look inviting. Calligraphy is the perfect way to add a beautiful and personal touch to your event from the very beginning.
We offer a few different options for envelope addressing: pointed pen and mono-line. Pointed pen is the traditional calligraphy method where you use a calligraphy nib and dip into the ink. This is how you get the thick and thin lines that are associated with calligraphy. We also offer mono-line addressing which is done with a regular pen. This can mimic the same font style as calligraphy, but does not have the thick and thin strokes, and the color selection is more limited. Our style selection ranges from very traditional to fun & funky and we feel confident that you can find something that is the perfect match for you. If you are wanting to custom match a style to your invitation we can discuss that option as well.

Our preferred alignment method is to center all of our names and addresses on the envelopes. Because we prefer to center addresses, we ask that you provide your address list as either a word document or google doc with the alignment centered. If you can create two columns that helps us save paper, which we love! Please provide each name and address exactly as you want it written on the envelope. If you want states, street salutations, etc. spelled out, please spell them out on the document. We write the guest information exactly as it is provided to us.
Clients are responsible for supplying their own envelopes (unless you are ordering a suite from us) and we request an extra 20% to accommodate additions, spelling errors or ink spots. We do our best to not make any mistakes, but we are human! A few things to note; our standard envelope fee does not include a return address – most often these are printed at the printer with your cards or invitations. Also, please note that some materials don’t take ink well, such as pearlescent coated envelopes, or envelopes with a lot of natural fibers. We do our best to work with them, but in some rare cases we might need to switch to plan b for the envelopes.
We require 10 business days to complete envelope orders of 100 envelopes – the 10 days starts when we have envelopes in hand, color and styles selected, and a correct and completed address list. If you have a smaller order, we might not need 10 business days but it is still our standard. For orders larger than 100, we typically add 1 week per 100 additional envelopes. Depending on availability, rush orders can be requested for a 25% fee.
